REWI INJURED.
. [by telegraph.] Auckland, September B.— Rewi left Kihikilii in company with Mr. Grace for Ohinemuri, to assist Mr. Sheelian in capturing the nativo offenders. On his way Rewi fell from his horse, receiving a severe shock, and is now lying at Andrews' hotel. No attempt is being made to capture the perpetrators of the Ohineinuri outrage, pending the result of the mission of Piako chiefs. It appears that the Volunteers can only be used when sworn in as special constables.
