HARRIS, 60 'o Genera) Manager. TOWNSEND'S TOBACCO. THE Tobacco announced above will be one of those things that are very seldom seen. It will kill bad men, and send good ones to rejoice at their funerals. It is calculated that it will settle Bismarck, raise the Vanguard, pay off the National Debt, make Australian meat eatable, and raise some of my friends in New Plymouth to the Peerage. Thousands of wicked persona were reformed by my Tobacco last year, and it is confi lently expected that millions will be made better this year. Spuigeon haa ordered 1000 ounces for bis Elders, and Brighain Young has ordered 1500 ounceß for his "youngers." H.R.H. has ordered a van-load, and the Lords of the Admiralty intend to issue my tobacco to the fleet. The lonely peeler on the midnight tramp shall acknowle Jge that it will enable him to run anything in, from a drop out of the pewter to a well-developed malefactor. The School Board will use my Tobacco before the examination test. As a gift to poor relations it is unapproaohable — it will be the last gift, as gratitude will pre vent their ever asking for or expecting to receive anythiug else. It is the only real friend of the workinsr man. Besides the things mentioned, it will keep the hair a proper colour, smooth wrinkles from the brow, destroy grog-blossoms and pimples, and cure bald heads and broken hearts. Solemnly, to any man, anywhere, who was not born dead, my Tobacco is an absolute necessity. Give me an order, and see that you have it. If you have it and don't like it, return the package (carriage paid) to me, and ask for your money back — and Bee if you'll get it. Persous ordering tobacco are requested to state sex, age, height, and probable length of life ; if foreigners, to state nationality and fighting weight. Payments may be made in half-penny stamps (that have not been used), provided the children of the establishment have not licked the gum off for nutriment, or rubbed the colour off to paint the cat's nose with. Persons sending as much as or Is. 6d for Tobacco are requested to use Co-operative Credit Bank cheques, and to post their letters after dark, as cases of robbery have been known to occur through individuals posting letters containing largo amounts of money with indiscreet publicity.
