M " "' WAITAUA. DBPARTURB. August 16. — Julius Yogel, sohoouer, for •Mauawatu. Cargo— l dopkey-engiao, boiler, and stand. The schooner Julius Vogol, which left Waitara ou the 16th August, arrived at Mauawatu on Wednesday last. The steamers Taranaki nnd Taupo, hoth from Manukau! passed tho roadstead early on Sunday morning, without looking in. There was a good sea on at tho time ; but, had thu vessels shown in, an attempt would have been made to communicate with them. Captain Holford paid a visit to the Waitara on Friday last, and decided upon having the signal staff raised ten feet, in accordance with the suggestions lately made by tho captains of coastiug vessels visiting that port— - The Hannah Barrett and Flying Cloud are lying in the Waitara River, wiud-bouud. As soon as the weather .moderates the nannah Barrett sails for Mauuknu with a cargo of sheep and maize, and. will return to the' Waitara with a load of sleepers from Onehuugtv. Tbo Flying Cloud is bound for tbo „ Pelorus in ballast.
