April 14. —1n the House of Commons, Lowther who is made Under Secretary for the Colonies in replying to Macarthur said the Government had received do bffioial confirmation of the cession of Fiji. He proposed to produce all the papers relating to Fijian affairs, and said that the commissioners report would receive the attention of the Government. Stanley, Dr. Wainwriglit, and Livingstone's two sons. Several Foreign Ministers, the Lord Mayor and Corporation, a number of Anglo-Indian notabilities and leading geographers were present. Sir William Fergusson, M.D., previous to burial, made an antopsy of the remains. An appeal is granted in the Monnt and Morris oase. . J.
