A Bishop's Amusement. — At a public dinner the other day, Lord Fiizhardinge made the following extraordinary statement: — " The Bishop of Gloucester is fond of billiards— (laughter). He was staying with me last antnmn, aud he was playing a game of billiards on Saturday night. He had the best of the game — (laughter) — I think it was 47 to 45, and he was 47, when the clock struck twelve. He said to me, ' Could you not put the billiard-room clock back five minutes ?' — (loud laughter). I said I would put it back ten lmiuites if he liked, and give him a glass of gin and water afterwards." — (Roars of laughtor).
