Taeanaki Herald Office, September 24, 1869. Thi eleotione have somewhat engaged the attention of the oommunity daring the past week, so we have little to report. Mr. Gledhill held a cattle sale on Thursday last, at Bell Block, which was well attended. Two pens of wethers fetched respectively 14s. 6d,, and 248. ; heifers went for £8 and £10 each ; steers fetohed £11, £12, £13 12s. Gd., and £14 ; a bullock was sold for £11. The produce and manufactures shipped consisted of 107 tons potatoes, 150 lbs. butter, and 1 package leather.
