Tun s.s. Ahuriri was lying iuside the Manukau Heads when the Storm Bird went in. She left on tlio 17th instant, and passed here on Saturday morning last. She had on board her original cargo for this port from Wellington and Waugfinui, not landed, and the following goods from Auckland : — 1 canvas package, H. Ford ; 1 case vestas, A. Woyergang; 1 cask seed, 2 J-chests tea, J. Colesby ; 31 castings, T. Kelly. | " Tut: s.s. Airedale, Captain Kennedy, steamed from the Ouohnnga wharf on the 16th instant, at 4.30 p.m., lor Taranaki and Southern Ports. She arrived here about 7 a.m. on the 18th, but from the squally aud hazy weather was unable to land passengers. She had on board the following cargo for this port : — 1 truss, Mrs. Ross j 5 J chests tea, 2 casks, 2 packages soap, Callaghan ; 5 boxes soap, Bidle ; 1 case coffee, Callaghan ; 58 bars iron, 4 bundles ditto, 1 roll wire, Brown and Duthio. For Nelson : 1 coil wire rope, Braithwaite. For Picton : 1 case drapery, Murdoch ; and the following passengers for here and the Sonth :— Mr. R. S. Mills, Sir G. A. Arney, Mr. Outhwaite, Mrs. Taylor, Master Taylor, and servant, Mr. Carleton, M.H.R., Mrs. Carleton, Mr. F. N. Russell, M.H.R., Mr. Petchsler, Mr. Preece, Mr. Samuels, Mr. Jackson, Mr. Henderson, Mrs. Simpson. The schooner Percy, which recently arrived in Auckland from Lyttelton, has been purchased by Captain Souter, formerly of the s.s. Tasmauian Maid, for the sum of £510.
