COLONIAL PRODUCE. BUYING PRICES.

Wellington. — Business during tho lost month may bo characterised as quiet, with small stocks and advancing prices. One or two small failures have taken place, bat monetary affairs still continue satisfactory. Nelson. — The only material change in the markets has been an advance of £2 a ton in the prico of flour. The following are tho quotations : — AVheat, 7s. 6d. to Bs. per bushel ; oats, 3s. 9d. to 4s. per bushel of 50 lbs.; barley, Cs. per bushel ; flour, first, £24 per 2,000 lbs ; potatoes, £1 10s. per ton; pollard, Ss. per 100 lbs; sharps 10s. per 100 lbs. Otago. — Business maintains a moderate degree of activity. The market for breadstnft's remains ns at the commencement of the week, but with a still improving tone, no operations for speculative ends have como under notice
