THREATENING LETTER RECIEVED BY HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR.
We regret to hear that his Excellency the Governor the Earl of Belmore received last week through the post a letter of the most brutal character, in which he was told that the fate intended for H.R.H. the Duke of Edinburgh, was in store for himself and three members of his Ministiy. The letter is, to all appearances, the production of some illiterate person. There can be no question as to the author of it being a scoundrel. That he may be detected and punished is a consummation to be hoped for by every right-minded person in the Colony and out of it.
