AUCKLAND SHAREMARKET. Tuesday. Mr J. Newman reports : —The market has been quiet to-day. Bismarck and Golcouda rather higher ; Caledonian rather lower. My sales comprise—Caledonian* LIS to LlB 10s, closing LIB, buyers LIS ; Thames, L 5 2s Od, buyers L 5 ; Golcouda, 40s, buyers 42s 6<l : Green Harp, L 7. sellers L 7, Shotovcr, 6s Gd ; Albion, 85s : Eldorado, 8s : Bismarck, 52s Gd. Mr Saunders reports : —“Sales this day : Pacific 11s 6d and 12s, buyers, 12s ; Moanatafiari, Lt 16s, L 4 15s, closing sellers, L 4 15s ; Nonpareil, L 4 10s and L 4 ss, closing sellers, L 4 5s ; Siege of Paris, 12s, 12s Gd, 13s, and 14s, closing sellers. 14s; Golcouda, 40s. closing buyers, 40s; Excelsior, 8s and 8s Gd, closing buyers ; Caledonian, LI Baud LIS 10s, closing buyers LIS 10s, sellers Ll 9 ; Tokatca, L 3 os. Buyers : Bed Queen, 4s Gd ; Nonpareil, L 4 2s (id ; Tokatea, L32s Gd ; Goldooda. 40s; Argo and MargareMa at low rates. Lincoln Castle and North Devon inquired for.” Messrs Ward and Gcllion report : —A linn market. No disposition was shown ou the part of sellers to give way until towards the close, when a few Caledonian shares were offered at LIS, and quickly taken advantage of by buyers. Beyond a few parcels of Moanataiavi, at L 4 IGs (id, our exchanges were merely nominal. Buyers of Harbour View, at 20s. Sellers disinclined to submit to this figure, which would represent only £4,800 for the whole property. Buyers also of Vulcan, Junction, and Inverness, at low rates. Sellers : Bright Smile, Waitemata, Buffalo, Unicorn, Italiau, City of London, at prices leaving a considerable speculative margin.
