THANKSGIVING DAY COLLECTION.
To the Editor of the THAMES Guardian. Sir, — I see iu your to-day’s issue an advertisement signed by the Secretary of the Hospital about a collection to be made for the Hospital on to-morrow (Thursday.) I beg to state that I did not authorise the said Secretary to advertise a collection in St. Francis’s Church. Therefore, no collection will take place in the said Church on to-morrow, Ascension Day, the 9th iust.—l am, &c., F. Nivard, Catholic Priest. Shortland, May 8, 1872.
