MICKEY’S LETTER

13 Gnaw Street, Mouseville. Dear Human Cousins, —I am very sorry that I did not writ© you al letter last week, but you see I was j very busy helping Cousin Mary Ann to decorate our window in King street, so that you could all come along and see the things that you made during the year displayed. I think the window looks very nice, don’t you? Although the things have been displayed for a week, there are always a few people looking at the toys, etc., and admiring them. To-day is the last day, so I hope that all of you have been able to see the window. To-morrow is Christmas Day, and of course you all know what that means. It means that 1932 years ago the wise men who followed the star in the heavens which led them to Bethlehem found the little Lord, Jesus asleep in the manger. And you will all know how wicked King Herod tried to kill the infant Jesus, and how he failed, and how Jesus went to live in Nazareth. Therefore, to-morrow is a day of rejoicing. Now, dear big Cousins, I want you to make a little sacrifice this Christmas. Your parents may not have much money, for as you know, times are very hard, and there is not much money about; so this is the sacrifice I want you to make — “Do not expect too much.’ 5 What I mean is that if you *got half-a-dozen toys last Christmas, and only get two this time, do not say# anything, but just thank your people nicely. They probably had to make some sacrifice themselves in order that you might get that present. Minnie and I are getting very excited. You see, at Christmas time, a lot of people go away, and lock their houses up for about a week. Sometimes they forget to lock everything up, and then Minnie and I go in and have a‘'great feed. Last year, we found a whole cheese lying on a shelf in the dairy factory. What a time we had! Minnie had to get the doctor in to me the next day, I had' eaten so much! Well, Cousins, Minnie and I wish you a very Merry Christmas, and don’t eat too much dinner tomorrow! Heaps of nibbles —■; MICKEY MOUSE.
