STRANGER GETS NEW SHOES SAID WIFE WAS WAITING IN CAR When a stranger walked into a Temnka boot shop recently, the proprietor was all attention when was asked to sell a pair of new« shoes. W After numerous .pairs 'oW black and tan shoes had been tried on, the stranger found a pair .he fancied. But the price was too high. To make a sale, the boot shop proprietor reduced the price, and clinched the deal. “Do you mind if I go round and show them to my wife before I take them?” asked the client. “My car is round at ’s garage; and she is in it. LMy name is , and I am a contractor at Milford.” “Not at all,” said the obliging shopkeeper; and his client walked out with his new shoes. Neither he nor the shoes have been seen since, and a sorrowing shopkeeper mourns his loss.
