TEMUKA LADsFS’ C3A D. A general meeting of the Temuka Ladies’ Hockey Club was held in Mr Furn. Smilh's rooms on Tuesday evening, there being present: Messrs Furn. Smith (in the chair), and F. Sherborne, Mrs J. Fisher, and Misses F. Stephens, R. Woodbani, F. Smith., C. Hope, A. llanifiu, M. Hanifin, and the secretary (Miss D. Webb). t Tlio meeting was called tor the purpose of arranging what funds should be sent to the Timaru Association for the representatives who were going to Southland, the two representatives from Temuka being Misses R. Green and M. Sherborne. After some discussion, it was moved by Miss A. Hamlin and seconded by Miss D. Webb, that £lO bo sent to the Association to help defray expenses of representatives taking part in the hockey tournament at Invercargill. It was proposed by Miss Stephens and seconded by Mrs Fisher, that the account' of £2 owing for the rent of the Oval for the 1930 season, be passed for payment.—Carried. It was left in the bands of the secretary to purchase a new match ball. Miss Stephens proposed that Miss C. Hope (treasurer) and Messrs F. Smith and S. Goddard bo appointed trustees for the account at the Post Odico Savings Bank, This was seconded by Mrs Fisher and carried. A vote of thanks, carried by acclamation, was accorded to Mr Sherborne for the help he had given to the club, A hearty vote of thanks, tendered to Mr Smith for the use of his rooms, terminated the meeting. Sherborne; halves, Misses E. Stephens and 13. Reid; back, Miss R. Green.
