E, (Junnion) mentioned that one of tiio reporters who usually attended the Council meetings (Air A. Lowrie) had been laid aside by illness. He was glad to hear that there had been a slight improvement in his condition, and ho hoped that he would soon make a complete recovery, Al Ibe annual meeting of tiie Canterbury Education Board, Mr W. A. Banks was elected chairman. Air (i. W. Armilage was elected a member of the Building and Agricultural, .Manual, and Technical Committees Air J. (1. (low was elected chairman of the Xormal School Committee.
