MILFORD NEWS.

SCHOOL CONCERT. There was a large attendance at the Milford Public Hall on Wednesday evening, for the annual concert and prize-giving. The large “house” was the more gratifying owing to the inclemency of the weather, raining as it was almost continuously. The first part of the evening was devoted io the children’s items, while later several highly appreciated items were contributed by a party of Timaru artists. The performances of the children were fully worthy of the applause with which they were received, and many encores were accorded to both sections of the concert.

Miss Mahan and Mr Wild are to be congratulated on the success of their untiring efforts in the production of the performance. Lyall for the trouble they had gone to, in making the concert such a success. He also wished, he said, to take advantage of the opportunity to convey the Committee’s congratulations .to Mr Wild, on all his pupils having secured proficiency certificates.
