HUTT ELECTION.
LABOUR CANDIDATE LEADING. The following is the result of the polling in connection with the Hutt by-election, held yesterday, to fill the vacancy caused by the Hon. T. Al. AVilford’s resignation when appointed High Commissioner in London:— Nash (Labour) .. •• 4793 Kerr (United) . ■ • • 4637 Johnston (Reform) . . 3368 Nash is therefore leading by 156 votes. There are some 600 absentee votes to come.
