NATIVE SUNDAY SCHOOL

PRESENTATIONS.

For nearly thirty years Mr Leslie Talbot has been superintendent of the Sunday School of the Holy Trinity Church at the Maori Pa, Avowhenua. On Sunday afternoon, opportunity was taken to mark the genuine gratitude of the parents to him for his untiring work and zeal amongst their children. Rev. G. N. Watson, in handing Mr Talbot a handsome palm bowl of antique copper, referred to his years of patient service, and to the love he had won in the hearts of his scholars, both past and present. Mr Talbot suitably replied, Opportunity was also taken to recognise the services of Miss Ti Hopkinsou, as assistant, teacher of the Sunday School, and the Rev. G. N. Watson presented to her a bowl of antique copper. A similar gift was given to Miss Papako (Millie) f-lopkinson, who for several years has officiated as organist at the services in the church. Both ladies briefly returned thanks.
