THE GERALDINE SOCIETY
A committee meeting of the Geraldine Horticultural Society was held in Mr Williamson’s room on Thursday evening. Present: Archdeacon Purchas (chairman), Messrs G. Patrick, J. Slattery, F. Hayward, A. M. Fyfe, and (he secretary (Mr F. W. Morgan). The secretary reported on the Rose Show held on December 3, and this showed a small financial deficit. A hearty vote of thanks was passed to Mr F. Sanders, of Temuka, for acting as judge at the Show. The schedule was revised and brought up-to-date. It was decided to hold the Summer Show in the Parish Hall on February 2, 1928, to be open from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. Afternoon tea will be provided by the ladies’ committee at a cost of 9d.
