TEMUKA STOCK SALE.

At the Temuka stock sale on Tuesday, the yardings of fat sheep were larger than they had been for some time, but late pi’ices were hardly maintained by 2/- per head. The few store sheep that came forward sold at receht prices. There were very large entries ,of fat cattle —indeed, the yardings comprised the largest entry for some months. Only prime cattle, however, sold well, medium and rohgh beef declining in price by, 30/- per head. Store and dairy cows maintained late rates. The supply of pigs exceeded the demand, owners declining to do business at the prices offering. The following were amongst the sales, made:— Sheep.—Fat .ewes: 3 at 29/-, 5 at 37/-, 9 at 21/-, 14 at 23/-, 2S at 30/-, 4 at 27/6, 13 at 20/6, 10 at 24/-, 4 at 20/-, 19 at 30/3, 6 at 30/-, 1 at 28/-, 10 at 20/-, 11 at 30/-, 9 at 15/9. 9 at 17/9, 7- at 16/9, 9 at 25/-, 13 at 16/10. Fat wethers; 12 (woolly) at 40/-, lat 44/-, 5 at 42/6, 3 (shorn) at 31/6, 7 at 33/-, 19, at 25/-, 2 at 28/6, 8 at 26/6, 21 2-tooth wethers at 21/-, 23 at 22/1, 1 at 33/6, 22 at 2:3/6, 13 at 13/9, 11 at 27/-, 3 wether hoggets at 28/r, 1 at 34/-; 3 fat lambs at 37/-. Fat ewes: 6 at 21/6, 23 at 12/10, 1 at 15/6, 5 at 42/6, 6 at 21/-, 14 at 20/-, 2 at 15/6, 15 ewes at 24/9, 6 at 25/8, 13 at 28/4, 16 at-18/-. Store sheep: 106 ewes (alt counted) at 19/6, 2 rcS. at 14/-., Cattle. —Steers: 2, at £lo,* 2 at £9, 2 at £B/15/-, 6 at £5/7/-, 5 at £l/15/6, 3 at £2/15/-. Fat steers; 1 at £B, 1 at £l2, 1 at £l7/10/-. Fat cows: 1 at £7/10/-, 1 at £5/2/-, 1 at £B/5/-, 1 at £6/7/6, 1 at £7/10/-, 2 at £5/12/6, 1 at £4/15/-, 1 at £6, 1 at £5/17/6, 1 at £6, 1 at* £7/5/-, 1 at £5/5/-, 4 at £5/7/6, 1 at £l/15/6, 8' at £4/9/6, 4 at £2/7/6; 1 bullock at £l7/10/-.
