OBITUARY.

MRS HERA WIXON. Deep regret was felt by a large circle of friends when the news of the death of Mrs Hera Wixon became known, the deceased passing away at her residence, Arowhehua, on Wednesday evening, at the age of 32 years. iShe was born in 1895, and was the eldest daughter of Mr and. Mrs Hape Taipana, and the fourth child of the family. Nine years ago she married Mr A. Wixon, and 1 she was well known through her kindly and generous character. Deceased is survived by her husband and five young children, and her mother and two brothers and two sisters, to whom the deepest sympathy is extended by their many friends, ■ The funeral took yesterday afternoon at the Native cemetery, the Rev. H. Te Reinga conducting the service at the residence and at the graveside, there being a. big attendance of friends together with th© ■members' of the Choir of the Ratana Hahi. Kay, Hornbrook St., Temuka, became known, for by her kindly, genial disposition she: had, made a host of friends. The deceased lady suffered from a long illness, and had only recently been discharged from a private- hospital, and for some days past was much improved, so that her death came as a shock to her friends. She was the daughter of Mr Thomas King, formerly of Temuka, but now of Christchurch, and married Mr Kay in 1905, being 42 years of age;when the end came. There are eight children of the marriage, two boys and. six girls, and l heartfelt sympathy is extended to the relatives in their sad loss.
