Miss Grace Wright relumed to Dimed in on Saturday after spending a short holiday at Temuka. Mr J, Evans is visiting his parents at Temuka.' Dr and Mrs Hohnos, and Dr and Mrs Devine, who came over from Australia to attend tlie Medical Conference at Dunedin, were in Temuka for the week end, staying at the Crown Hotel. Mr and Mrs Elliott, of England, are staying at the Grown Hotel. A very pleasant little function took place at the Refectory of the Masonic Hall, Geraldine, on Erida.y. when a parly of friends and well-wishers of Miss Mollie Callanan, organised by Mrs C. Knibb and Miss Dorothy Ear oie, met to say farewell to that popular young lady, who leaves hr the Training College, Glnistchurch, next Saturday. Songs were rendered by Misses Gimson, M. Callanan, C. Gimson, arid Heaton, and community singing was also indulged in. Dancing and games followed and a daiivy supper was provided by fbe ladies. After supper Miss Ramie. presented Miss Callanan with a xylonite' brush and comb and Mrs Knibb handed her a .beautiful bouqind of flowers, the gift of Mrs Fish. The gifts were accompanied with the best wishes of her friends. Miss Callanan • suitably responded.
