TUG-OF-WAR.
MEETING OF COMMITTEE. A meeting of tlxe Tug-of-War Committee was held on Wednesday evening. Present: Messrs J. Fisher (chairman), 11. Jamieson, D, South, T. Scott, G., Currie, R. Brogdeii; J. Dennison, L. Neville, S. Douglas, Z. Kay, and the secretary (.Mr A. R. Beck). An apology was received for the absence of Mr G. Pierce. The secretary was instructed to circularise the South Island firms for the purpose of obtaining entries for the South Island Tug-of-i War Championship which is to be held at Temuha, and also to write to the Minister of Internal Affairs to obtain permission to hold an art union. The following side-show committee was appointed:—Messrs Fisher, Beck, Scott, -Currie, Dennison and Neville. It was agreed to ask the lady helpers to meet the committee ,on Wednesday evening next af the Band Hall.
