BOWLING.
GERALDINE CLUB. A meeting of ■ the committee of the Geraldine Bowling.: QUib was held last week, Dr. D. Paterson, president, being in the chair. Accounts were passed for payment, including those for the erection of a shed for holding, soil for top-dress-ing, and for.a number of new lockers,, both conveniences being much required. - ;
- Various .suggestions were made as ito matherslM/he; brought ; before the annual -meeting.
Mr Lloyd was declared winner of the Novice Handicap, he having won most games without a loss.
j It was ,decided that the annual meeting should take the’ form of a smoke concert, and a sUb-committee was appointed .’make the arrangements.
i. It was also resolved that a monthly card match between members of the club and other teams should be held during the winter, the arrangements being left in the hand# of Messrs Hardcastle and Stock. The first will-be a cribbage match with the citizens of Geraldine, the date so far fixed being the evening of •Thursday, May 20. The green was reported to be in excellent order after top-dressing, the ; grass having’ made a splendid growth under the favourable weather conditions.
