OBITUARY.

Mil EDWARD ELLIOTT. The death occurred in Wellington on Tuesday of iMn Edward Elliott, the quaint little ventriloquial comedian of the Humphrey Bishop Company, which appeared here a few months ago. The late Mr Elliott will be recalled by his singing of “I always have a glass of milk before I go to bed.” A few weeks ago he caulght la chill, after spending an evening with the Wellington Savage Club. Double pneumonia and pleurisy set .in, with the sad result above stated. Deceased was forty-four years of age, and leaves a widow and two children, at present in Wellington. The late Mr Elliott, who was an Englishman by birth, first came to New Zealand in 1911 Avith the English Pierrots, under the management of Messrs Will and Bob Thomas. Later he joined one of Mr EdAvard Branscombe’s “Dandy” companies, and "was, for a time, on the Fuller Circuit, before he joined the Humphrey Bishop Company in Brisbane last year. The interment Avill take place In Wellington to-day, and the coffin Avill he loAvered in the “Actors’ Corner” of the Karori cemetery.
