The Executive of the South Canterbury Returned Soid.ers' Association m °t on Saturday night. Present: Me:sr 3 L. M. Inglis (President), J. P. C. Walsh, A. N. Oakey, A. E. G. Holdgate, W. Hayinan, S. -Mason, R. B. Bell, R. S. Goodman, and M. T. Reese. The secretary of the Canterbury District R.S.A. wrote in regard to the responsibility for the 1923 lands and pensions legislation, and pointing out what the N.Z.R.S.A. had done to have these measures placed on the Statute Book. The activit.es of the parent body in legislative raatter s generally was rev owed. It was decided that the secretary make arrangements to have the letter published. A return of financial members showed the strength of the local branch as ISB.
