AUOTICE is hereby given that the Geraldine County Council, In exercise of the powers vested in it by “The River Boards Act’’ proposes to LEVY' A RATE to cover the cost of Protective Works being constructed and about to be constructed on the banks of the Orari River and the South Bx-anch of the Rangitata River and has classified the lands on the North and South sides ,of the Orari River and, on Rangitata Island and on the South side of the Rangitata River for the purpose of levying the' said rates. Plans showing the proposed classification of the said lands for rating purposes have been lodged at the Office of the Geraldine County Council and may be inspected there without fee for the space of twenty-one days from the seventh day of September, 1922. Appeals against the proposed class!-, llcation must be lodged with the Clerk of the ■ Magistrate’s Court at Geraldine within seven days after thb expiration of tho said period of twenty-one days above ineutloned.
