GERALDINE COUNTY RIVER DISTRICT.

JJOTICE is hereby given that the Geraldine County Council, in exercise of the powers vested in it by "The River Boards Act" proposes to LEVY A RATE to cover the cost of Protective Works beings constructed and about to be constructed on the banks of the Orari River and the South Branch of the Rangitata River and has classified the lands on the North and South sides of the Orari River and on Rangitata Island and ou the South side of the Rangitata River for the purpose of levying the said rates. Plans showing the proposed claß3iiication of the said lauds for rating purposes have been lodged at the Office of the Geraldine County Council and may be inspected there without fee for the space of twenty-one days from the seventh day of September, 19215. Appeals against the proposed classification must be lodged with the Clerk of the Magistrate's Court at Geraldine within seven days after the expiration of the said period of twenty-one days above'mentioned. .
