CRICKET.

TEMUKA v. HIGH SCHOOL. The above teams met on-the Park Oval on Saturday' afternoon on a ■ soft wicket. The game resulted in a close finish, Temuka winning by the ' narrow margiu of eight runs. The local team batted first, but failed to make any stand and were all out for G 9 runs, tho only double figure scorers being Austin, Baynes, and R. Lee. Cain secured the respectable bowling average of six wickets for nine runs. The High School hoys batted carefully, but failed to roach Temuka's total. Brilliant fielding by several members of the local team was again a feature of (he. game. . R. Lee was the star bowler for Temuka, capturing five wickets for 16 runs.
