As' a result of the Presbyterian General Assembly’s resolution strong ly approving of the League of Nations and initiating action among •the churches a meeting was held at Wellington, on Tuesday of representatives of all the chuchcs of New Zealand, including the Catholic. Dr> Gibb presided and read a letter from Archbishop O’Shea stating that the object would have the whole-hearted support of the Catholics. Hishop Sprott wrote that in a. movement so eminently Christian there is room for some specific action on thfe part of the Churches.
