Support 'league op xations
As' a result of the Presbyterian General Assembly’s resolution strong ly approving of the League of Nations and initiating action among •the churches a meeting was held at Wellington, on Tuesday of representatives of all the chuchcs of New Zealand, including the Catholic. Dr> Gibb presided and read a letter from Archbishop O’Shea stating that the object would have the whole-hearted support of the Catholics. Hishop Sprott wrote that in a. movement so eminently Christian there is room for some specific action on thfe part of the Churches. The meeting resolved to issue a statement strongly supporting the League of Nations and giving" expression to the deepening) conviction of Christian people that there .must be no more war. • ,■ •’
