NINE MONTHS' DEFICIT. London. The revenue for the past nine months totals £676,831,000 and the expenditure £739,990,000, making a deficit of £63,159,000. The revenue decreased £211,972,000 and the expenditure decreased £102,699,000. The chief decrease in revenue was in stamps, £7,420,000, Customs £2,848,000, and excess profit duty, which is inoperative except arrears, amounting to £126,640,000. The chief increases are: Income tax £16,818,000, and corporation profits tax £19,296,000.
