He enlisted when he was H) years, and h)ft with the BUli Reinforcements. The family’- are wellknown at Wait obi, and much sympathy will bo felt for them by their friends.

Mr George Davey, Winchester Road, Temuka, has received the good news that his son —who; since his return from (he front some 10_jjj&n;ths ago has been an inmate of the Christchurch Public Hospital—is now able to get info a; 'wheeled chair, and thus is able to get about a little. He' is not vet far enough recovered to get on to his feet. Corporal W. V. Evans was among the draft of returned soldiers who reached Wellington on Tuesday. He is visiting relatives in Auckland, and will arrive in Temuka early next week.
