J lick ns by the ladies of tin; \gaii llulrapa (.onimillee. Among those present wore a number oi returned soldiers and visitors from all parts of the district, some coining from as tar as Fairlic. 'I he weather was- perfect. Excellent music was provided by Mrs N. Walker (piano), and liar onerous dulics oi ABC. were ably performed by Mr -1. Breen. Private lUekus played an “extra.” The “Chorus Flirts” contributed tuo songs (one a welcome song), and songs were also given by Miss Pickus and "Mr Cibsoli, all being much enjoyed. During the evening Private Kickus was prcscnlivl with a gold medal, inscribed on its face ; “ Presented to Privale d. M. Rickiis, 11118,” and on the, reverse side, “Presented to Private J. lit. llickns, by Iho ladies of (ho N'gnti Unii-ape Committee.” ami (he ml nrned soldier received a warm oval ion. An excellent supper was provided by The ladies, and the social was gi'mit sicvess.
