WHEN THE LIQUOR RAN.
An extraordinary method of selling liquor on unlicensed premises has come to light in Oklahoma, U.S.A. A deputymarshal suspected the owner of illegal sah\ hut failed to find liquor where he had grounds to suppose it was kept. It was only hy accident that one of his assistants, in endeavouring to light the gas-burner, touched the hidden valve that caused tho whisky to pour from the chandelier. The entire supply was drained out of a little copper tank secreted in the ceiling just over the chandelier,
