WAIMATE BACKS. The Waimate races took place on Thursday, and was very successful, The attendance was large, and sport good. The results were :—Studhohne Stakes—Liza F Miss Gal 2, Imaginary 3. ■ Trial Plate—British Peer 1, Lady El a2, Arty 3. Waimate Cup, 160 sovs, Pi miles.—Field Gun 8.6., 1 ; White Cockade, 7.12, 2 ; Jack Ashore, 7.3, 3 ; won by half a length ; time, Imm 37 2-ssec. Morven Trot —Rothsbloom 1, Red Rothschild 2, Red Maid 3. Harvest Handicap—Miss Gal 1, Ilarlta 2, Lady Orizoiu 3. Residents' Handicap—Bruce 1, Fhneraboy 2, Lady Eta 3. Hook Trot-Tornado 1, Red Rothschild 2, David Harum 3. Stewards' Welter—Orizon 1, Chief Loclviel 2, British Peer 3.
