CRICKET.
M.C.C. V. OTAGO, On Saturday Otago continued their first innings, and carried the total to 1 76. The M.C.C. were at the wickets most of the 'afternoon, and gave a good exhibition of batting, the innings reaching 27b. Otago started their second innings at 5.3, f>nd gave one of the poorest exhibitions over seen, in first-class cricket. Five wickets were down with the score at 22. M.C.C. WELLINGTON, Jammy 5. Mr Wynyard brought with him an invitation from the Marylc'bone Cricket Club that New Zealand should wmd a cricket team to England. This was not to have been announced till later in the season, but owing to his return to England, Mr Wynyard has made it public now,, and hopes the invitation will be accepted.
