IMPORTANT CLEARING SALE.
An important clearing sale was held at the brewery, Temuka, on Thursday last, by the Canterbury Farmers' Cooperative Association 'in conjunction with the National Mortgage and Agency Co., on account of Mr H. Lee. There was a good attendance of buyers and bidding was brisk for all lines, with the exception of the pigs which showed a slight decline in prices The sales were conducted for the Canterbury Farmers' Co-operativo Association by Mr J. Hundcll, and for the National" Mortgage and Agency Co. by Mr Alex. Scott. Prices were as follows :—Bay mare, rising five, in foal to Glenapp, £3O; bay mare, rising five in foal -to Glenapp, £2l ; spring waggon, £27 10/ ; spring cart, £l2 5/ : cow in profit, £4 ; heifer, £4 2/(5. Pigs—About 120 were penned., Prices were : 2 sows in pig 31/ and 29/ sow with, litter of 8 39/, 10 youW sows 14/ to 3S/, porkers 13/ to 22/, baconers 35/ to 21/, storo pigs, 8/ to 19/, suckers 3/ to 6/6. A very large quantity of plant and sundries we're also sold at prices satisfactory to the seller.
