j ■ ——- The required number of candidates and no more having •been nominated as councillors for the newly formed Geraldine Borough, the returning. oilieer Mr T. Herlihy, yesterday declared 'the following duly elected W. •, -A. Dawson, jno. Farrell, P. W. ilislop, E. H. Logan, T.' J, Maling,. Robt. Taylor, Mr W. S. Maslin was., also declared elected unopposed, as the hist Mayor of the borough. If Geraldine had remained a town district till Juno 19th next, it would have celebrated its 21st birthday.
