DUNEDIN STOCK MARKETS. At the Burnside markets on Wednesday the following business wa? transacted : Cattle—7o head of fat cattle were yarded, principally light to mcidium weights. Best bullocks brought £ll 10s to £l2 12s 6d, medium £9 to £lO 10s, light and inferior £6 to £8 10s, best cows £9 10s to £ll ss, medium £7 10s to £8 15s, light abd inferior £5 10s to £7. Sheep—Only 469 fat sheep wore penned. Prices ruled from 2s to 3s above last week. Best wethers brought 20s to 225, medium to good 17s to 19s Gd, v others 14s 6d to 16s. best ewes 19s to 22, medium to good Kis to 17s, others lis to 15s ; 150 lambs were penned, which sold under keen competition. Best brought 13s Gd to Ms 6ri, good lis 6d to 12s Gd, others 9s 6d to Us 6d. Pigs—Only 33 were ' penned. Slips brought 13s to ISs, porkers 42s to 48s, baconers 51s to 555, big pigs at up to 80s. DUNEDIN PRODUCE MARKETS. Wheat—Not much business passing millers confining their attention to" choice milling lines, and only buy from hand to mouth. There is a large quantity of fowl wheat, but prices deter shippers. Southern wheat is mostly too soft. Prime milling is quoted at 4s to 4s 2d, medium .'is 10d to 3s J Id, whole fowl feed 3s 5d to 3s brokien and damaged :5s to 3s 3d ; sacks ..extra. Oats—There is a good demand for milling and seed lines, the latter being scarce. B grade for shipmen is in good demand, but farmers are not inclined to accept present rates. The stock of tallow on hand consists of 13,403 casks ; imports 5491 casks ; deliveries 6292 casks.
