EXHIBITION OF PYROGRAPHY.

Quite a large number of people visited the Oddfellows- 1 Hall, Geraldine, on Tuesday, at the invitation of Miss Gibson to inspect specimens of her handiwork in the pyrography line. There was a good attendance in the afternoon and at might the hall was fairly well filled at times. During the exhibition Miss Gibson and ner pupils were kept very busy keeping pace with the demand for art union tickets, the public [being so well pleased with the excellent samples of pyrography work on view. The work consists of wood work beautifully designed and etched as it were with a hot iron w,hich burns into the surface, and gives articles an antique appearance which is quite a change from the popular styles of chip carving so muen in vogue. Ihe first prize is a handsome what-not or corner cupecard the design of wuch is an excellent one, and the figure work is .piaint and charming. The second prize is a very neat over man tie, so beautifully worked that some v\tre of the opinion that .t should have been placed first.
