The body of the young man, Nicholas Swan, who was drowned on the 27th ult. while going off to a yacht at Dnnedin, was found on Sunday. A bad smash-up occurred on the Wan - gaehu side of Turakina hill, near Marton, on Sunday evening. A spring trap, containing Mr Moran, railway ganger, his married daughter, Mrs Tyson, ofNapier, her two younger sisters, girls of fifteen and twelve, two younger children, and Mrs Konald Cameron, of Jfordell, were coming uphill when the horse took fright at an approaching vehicle's lights, swerved round, and backed the trap over a steep incline, turning over in the descent. All escaped serious injury excepting Miss Moran, 15, who died shortly after she had been conveyed home. The horse broke its fetlock. It Is Perfectly Reliable.
