CRIBBAGE.
The third cribbage match between the Temuka and Eclipse (Timaru) Clubs was played at the Royal Hotel, Temuka, on Monday evening. That the Eclipse team elected to travel on such a bitterly cold evening says no lit le for their pluck, and they were accorded a very hearty welcome on their arrival. The game was a keenly contested one, resulting in a win for the local men by six games. Messrs Gunniou and Clinch played for Timaru iu place of two men absent. After the game a capital supper, provided by Host Donavao, proved very welcome, and the team left on the return journey just a little before midnight. The following are the scores : Temuka. Eclipse.
