The following property sales in Ashburton county are reported by Mr T. Bullock : —9O acres 2 roods 30 perches, opposite the Tinwald saleyards, at ,£lB 10s per acre; 500 acres above the Hinds railway station, being R. S. 25187, in very good order, at £2 10s per acre, on account of the Otago and Southland Investment Co.; on account of Mr J, Witbell and others, 1462 acres, with improvements, fronting the road leading from the Hinds railway station to Rangitata traffic bridge, for £2820, about £ll9s per acre ; 243 acres, R. Turnips, Is 3d per sack, all sacks in. Pork, 4.Jd. TIMARU HORSE MARKET. The Canterbury Farmers’ Co-operative Association, Limited (per Mr J. Mnndell, auctioneer), report on the horse and cattle market at Tattorsall’s yards on Saturday, as follows : Our entries comprised 41 horses, 2 cows farm implements and harness. The attendance of buyers and others interested in the sale was large, and about two-thirds of the horses submitted to auction changed owners at satisfactory prices. Our quotations are : —Draughts, young, with trials, £26 10s, £2B, £3O, £32 10s, £33, £34 to £36; do. light and aged, £l2, £l3 10s, to £l6 light harness sorts. £7 10s, £lO to £l4 10s hackneys, £4 10s, £6, to £B. Cows, in profit, £3 XOs. Implements and harness ' were keenly completed for.
