She was going to visit her sister, and was driven by her father to within two miles of her destination. Half an hour after he left her it commenced to tnow, and fearing that something might happen to her he returned, and drove to his elder daughter’s place and found the girl had not arrived. He then went to Blackford, where Mr Ales. McLellan o’ g uised a se rch party, which set out at 9 30- p.m, all night the men bravely searched, but it was between 7 and 8 o’clock on the following morning before the girl was found lying a'ongside a wire fence covered with snow. He clothes and hair were frozen. Remedial measures were taken and the girl a day or two afterwards appeared none the worse for the night io the enow.
