Paris, July 18. The officers who accompanied Major Machand's Fashoda expedition have been reincorported with the French Army. His Senegalese troops have embarked at Toulon on their return to Africa. Major Marchand himself has been sent on a holiday to the provinces to avoid the demonstrations in his honour, which were causing the Government anxiety.
