TEMUKA Ist v. GEBiLDINE Ist. Tho above teams played their return match at Geraldine on Thursday afternoon. The light was bad until about tho close of the play. Rain fell smartly during the Temuka innings, and play was stopped during its fall as the became very greasy, The Temuka innings was practically a failure, being only redeemed by the splendid play cl W. Mendelson, his pulling balls round to the boundary being the feature of his innings. He went in first and was last man out. The Geraldine innings started badly, but, as is usually the case when these two teams meet, one or two of the northerners pulled the match out of the fire. The rescuers in this instance were Boy Pearpoint and A. McLean, the former batsman playing a sterling game.
