In tho men’s singles Rice beat Parker by three sets to one set; Dewhurst beat Hooper by throo sets to one set; in the doubles Kidston and Blaxland beat Parker and Collins by throe sets ti two sets ; Wiadeyer and Colquhoun beat Gore and Hooper by three sets to love. In the ladies’ doubles Miss Nunuely and Woolnough beat Misses Mackenzie and Keele by two to love. The mixed doubles led to a great struggle between Dunlop and Miss Howitt, tho Victorian champions, and Parker and Miss Nunnely, of New Zealand. When each had scored one game, and seven all was called iu the decisive game, darkness put an end to tho match. May 7. The most interesting of tho tenuis matches to day was certainly the mixed doubles, which were re-played after being partially completed yesterday. Tho New Zealanders won, the score being 14 to 8. Miss Nunuely played a dashing game. Tho winning pair were then matched against McKenzie and Miss McKenzie, representing New South Wales, but had an easy victory, winning tho first two sets, equal to 12 games to 5. Parker and Miss Nunuely have yet to meet Dewhurst and and Miss Dransfield, also representing New South Wales, who will probably give them a hot game. Iu tho men’s handicap singles Grossman beat Parker by two sets to one. In the men’s double handicap Goddard and Strickland beat Goro and Collins by two to love. In the ladies’ singles Miss Nunuely beat Miss Dransfield by two to love.
