Mr Low, formerly of Temuka High School, and now one of the masters of the Timaru High School was among the fifteen, but most unfortunately ho succumbed to a beautiful ball from the Winchester captain, but did good service iu the bowling department. The bowling of H. Bennett was much too good for the boys, and his average of eight wickets for eight runs will be difficult to beat. The game was played iu the most friendly spirit, and at the conclusion hearty cheers were given to Mrs In wood, who provided delicious afternoon tea for the players. Messrs G. Wood and Crosbie made excellent umpires for Timaru and Winchester respectively. On Thursday next the Temuka men are coming up to play a friendly game at Winchester.
