GERALDINE SCHOOL COMMITTEE. The mouthly meeting of the above committee was held on Thursday evening. Present—Messrs T. Shorratt (chairman), R. A. Borrows, 11. Logan, J. Boughtou, J. Pye, J. The Head Master reported that Hie average attendance for last quarter was 184.4 out of an average weekly roll of 240. The attendance for the present quarter to date was 169 out of a roll number of 244. Owing to serious ill-healih Mr Robertson would not be able to attend to his duties for some time.— After consulting with the chairman the board had been asked for a locum teneus. ENTERTAINMENT. It was decided that an entertainment be held early in December in aid of the prize fund, and that the school staff be asked to supply one part of the programme, and that a sub-committee consisting of Messrs Borrows, Sutherland, and Logan make arrangements for the other part. The chairman and Mr E. A. Borrows wore appointed visitors for the ensuing month and the meeting terminated.
