SUICIDE OF AN EX-M.H.R.
Wellington, Feb. 16. Inspector Thompson has received a tela* gram thai Mr Henry Bunny, the well known politician, shot himself dead in the Town Board Office at Feathorston yesterday. The only particular!! of Mr Bunny's death known bo far are that he had refreshments in the hotel yesterday morning and then borrowed the key of the Council Chambers. He sat in a chair und fihob himslf through the atomieb. An irquest is proceeding. Mr Bunty was formerly Provincial Secretary and Treasurer, and was a member of the House of. Representatives for many years. He shot himself with a revolver, and death was instantaneous. Ho had been in a desponding state lately, in consequence of his defeat at the general election. He also felt the death of his old chief, Sir. W. Fitzberbert. heayily.
